Background
Hell hounds are not of this world, appearing to be undead dogs (but are actually demons or devils of some kind). Hell Hounds are capable fighters and are capable of running at speeds of 35-40 mph, and for up to 20 minutes, although not maintaining top speed during that time. Although of animal intelligence and have no need to eat or drink, they have a basic instinct to torture and cause pain to the living.
A lone Hell Hound is a terrible sight, but they usually travel in a much deadlier pack of 1d6+4 hounds, which can be quite deadly to lone travellers. Many demons have these creatures as pets.
