Everything has a darker side, even the Fey. In it’s beauty that far surpasses anything in the Kingdoms, it produces pegasi, unicorns, elves, and other beautiful creatures. In it’s power it gave birth to dragons, as strong as the dryads are beautiful. The average dragon can lift well over 10 tons, has skin that can repel most weapons, and can attack with physical blows strong enough to kill most men instantly. As if that wasn’t enough, dragons can fly and use a breath weapon of fire that can melt steel. There are no real dragon hunters, it is said in Arember, only those that hunt their doom.
Dragons seem to return to the Few from time to time, disappearing from the Kingdoms, only to reappear again later, just when the humans are sure they have left forever. Thankfully they are few in numbers, at least as far as is known. Most dragons do not bother the humanoid races very much, but all of them will gather a great deal of treasure when they are young, as a way to attract a mate and as a source of pride. There have been many adventurers that have gone hunting a dragon’s treasure – and the few survivors have no gold. One exception to the rule that dragons are not a bother was Darkskies, who took over the dwarven kingdom in the time of The Dark Queen, but was destroyed decades later.
Dragons are rumored to disguise themselves as humans, but this is only a legend, most think. They also are said to have a magical fear, which dragons scoff at – they would tell you the fear people feel is so intense it only seems magical.
Dragons are incredibly intelligent, often studying languages, occultism, and other teachings. They have been sought for their knowledge more than once, and will often barter and trade information for gold, and vice-
The recent reappearance of the dragons again is concerning to the entire kingdom.
